A 20-page handmade zine featuring vignettes and letters from 18-25 year olds during the first month of Covid-19 Lockdown in the UK and Berlin, depicting their experiences and thoughts of the present, and manifestations for the future. Featuring pieces from photographer and casting director Stafi Samaki (@shotbystaf /@stafisamaki), actor and musician Sokari Erekosima (@bornfromikiri), and photographer Kieron Kymara (@s1nyk), among others.
FIRST EDITION (SOLD OUT): 80% of all proceeds made from the sale of each zine will be donated to the The Bail Project (https://bailproject.org), a non-profit organisation designed to combat the mass incarceration of BAME and low income people across the US.
SECOND EDITION: 50% of all proceeds from the sale of each zine will be donated to the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, a UK based non-profit orgainsation that campaigns for justice, racial equality, and supports young BAME people, founded in memory of Stephen Lawrence who was murdered during a racially motivated attack in 1993.
Specifications:
100% handmade - handprinted front and back covers made using a hand-cut lino stamp based on an original photograph taken in 2017. The zine itself is hand-bound using hemp thread. As each zine is made individually, please allow for some minor variation between each copy.
